Jokosher Documentation Team

This site is out of date! Documentation work is now done on http://userdocs.jokosher.org. Much of the information here is still useful and will be left in place.

Jokosher needs good quality documentation, and having quality documentation is a central aim. We want to make sure that people say "yeah, Jokosher rocks a bollock, and they have awesome video too". The current JokosherUserGuide aims to be an easy to read and understand user guide, but we need much more:

  • Tutorials
  • Video Tutorials
  • Editing walk-throughs
    • how to record a podcast (record both ends of a call, then merge and mix, etc.)
    • how to record a song (burn guide track of band, lay down drums, do bass, start guitar, etc.)
    • whatever you can think of...
  • Articles
  • Sample Projects
  • HOWTOs
  • FAQs
  • ...and anything else that will make Jokosher more useful and easy to understand to the user.

This page is intended to act as a home for those who are interested in writing documentation. As Jokosher grows in functionality, we will need more and better documentation.

Documents

  • JokosherUserGuide - This is the current manual. It can be edited here on the Wiki. You don't need to know how to do HTML markup to contribute. When changes are accepted they will be merged into the master version to be distributed with Jokosher.
    • UserGuideTodo - List of tasks that need done to complete the User Guide
  • JokosherFAQ - It's critical that we answer questions for new users, and at this point nearly everyone is a new user. Add your questions and answers here.
    • FAQTodo - List of tasks that need done to complete the FAQ
  • IntroWalkThrough - Walk through of the steps required to make a new project, record and import audio to it, edit the audio, and then export.
  • DocsDE - German documentation
